My name is Yvonne Ochieng and I am the founder and owner of LeafBerri Kenyan Specialty Teas.

LeafBerri is a tea company that exclusively markets teas grown in Kenya. Our niche specialty is orthodox purple tea – a new tea variety high in antioxidants with low caffeine currently only grown in Kenya and black teas.

I was born and raised in Kenya and tea being a major cash crop plays an integral role in supporting small scale tea farmers like my family who have been growing tea for generations. A lot of people don’t know that Kenya is the largest producer of tea in Africa and ranked third in the world in tea production. Kenyan tea is known to have a unique flavor that is robust with a bright finish and it owes these special attributes to the volcanic region It is grown. For this reason I started LeafBerri to give Kenyan teas a larger platform to showcase the premium quality tea we grow and share with others.
