Hi there! I'm Michelle. Welcome to Just Jinx'd. We are a deaf (technically hard-of-hearing) and AAPI owned small business! We make cement plants pots and more with all things fun and cute.
🐾 Our Story
Creating artwork has always been a great passion of mine. I got started in the industry when Covid hit, and going out to buy more planters and more for my new plants was not an option, so I made a planter website! I took this as an opportunity to find ways to make amazing side pots for plants at home. However, the true spark for starting Just Jinx'd came from a personal and emotional place. My brother, who is disabled, faced significant harassment and bullying at work. This experience made me realize the importance of creating an inclusive and supportive environment, not just for him but for everyone in the disabled community.
My inspiration behind this shop is my Siberian, Jinx. She is a devil packaged into a big, cute, and furry fluffball. Jinx is always getting herself into trouble and does it with a smile. She is the playful side of the word "jinx." After breaking so many of our pots and planters, we had to look for a sturdier medium that would survive our household. Cement was the way to go!
