Alex Duncan is a digital collage artist based in McKinney, Texas. Her work is influenced by vintage photographs, pop culture images, the natural world, and a desire to escape into dreamy compositions.

Born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, Alex received her BA in Art History at The American University of Paris. It was during her time in France that she discovered her passion for collage, starting with traditional techniques before transitioning to the digital medium. Her background in art history gives her a unique perspective in creating collages that explore the constants and variables of visual language through time.

Alex’s belief is that a certain amount of escapism is necessary to a healthy mind, so each collage is crafted with a story that transports viewers to a more peaceful place. The world can be a stressful place where we each have to carve out pockets of tranquility for ourselves, away from the demands of the everyday.
