Hi Sarah! Thanks so much for sharing your story with us today! Can you please tell us a little about yourself?
Hi! I’m Sarah, and I am originally from Wichita, Kansas. I grew up there, and we moved our family to Fort Worth, Texas in December 2020. We have a teenage daughter and a five-year-old full of energy dog. I love simple mornings with coffee and making breakfast, hiking, exploring new places, spicy margaritas, game nights, watching sunsets, and peonies and ranunculus are my favorite flowers.
Welcome to Texas! We’re so glad you’re here! What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
The best advice I was ever given was to show up in all aspects of life as your best self, you have to take care of you. It is very important to have priority on your health, self-care, rest, and rejuvenation to keep living and feeling wonderful. I’ve watched people work their life away, without any downtime to recuperate, to rest, to not work, and it’s not the way I want to live my life. I want to always feel my best.
That’s a great goal! You only get one life, and it’s important to live your best life every day. Tell us about your business— what do you make and how long have you been doing it?
Great question! I started Life Essentials in 2020, the name brings in the use of essential oils in the products for their scents and natural properties. I have now added “Skincare” to the end of my business name since I primarily focus on handcrafted non-toxic skincare products now.

We love the human-friendly, earth-friendly products you create! Why did you get involved with MMC?
I found MMC on a trip down to DFW before we even lived here. I loved the fun, uplifting vibe of the shop and followed online before I had a business. When I moved here, I saw the open call for makers, applied, and got accepted in March 2022. I love MMC because it’s not only a collection of Texas women-owned small businesses, it’s a special group of business owners that are open to sharing ideas and collaborating to help each other. I’m grateful to be a part of MMC.

I love connecting with people, learning their stories, and chatting non-toxic life and motherhood.

What a great way to meet like-minded people! If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I can’t wait to visit Greece and Italy. The history, food, and beautiful old buildings and streets. I could spend a lot of time exploring both countries.
